JOB DESCRIPTION: The Corridor Gardens Restaurant and Bar is part of a contemporary chain of restaurants in Kenya and Ghana. The group is seeking a Marketing Officer for its Ghana restaurant on the Boundary Road, East-Legon, Accra.
LOCATION: East Legon, Ghana
DIRECT REPORT: General Manager
JOB PURPOSE: To develop and implement marketing strategies that promote the restaurant and its products and services. To ensure marketing efforts of the company add the highest value to its business.
DUTIES: General Duties
- Develop Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with the management team to create comprehensive marketing plans that align with the restaurant’s goals, target audience, and budget.
- Digital Marketing: Manage the restaurant’s online presence, including the website, social media channels, email marketing, and online advertising. Create engaging content, monitor performance, and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.
- Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the restaurant’s brand identity through consistent messaging, visual elements, and customer experiences.
- Promotions and Campaigns: Plan and execute promotions, special events, and seasonal campaigns to attract new customers and encourage repeat business. Monitor the effectiveness of these efforts and adjust as needed.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain a strong relationship with the restaurant’s customer base through targeted communication, loyalty programs, and feedback collection.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Use this knowledge to adapt marketing strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Public Relations: Manage public relations efforts, including press releases, media relations, and partnerships with local businesses or organizations.
- Budget Management: Work within allocated marketing budgets, track expenses, and ensure that all marketing activities deliver a positive return on investment.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor key marketing metrics, analyze campaign performance, and provide regular reports to the management team.
- Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
- Analyze consumer behaviour/ trends.
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities and enhance the restaurant’s presence.
- Minimum Diploma in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing roles, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and online advertising.
- Creative thinker with excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with local market trends and customer behaviors.
- Marketing Strategy: Ability to develop effective marketing plans, set goals, and align strategies with the restaurant’s objectives.
- Digital Marketing: Proficiency in managing the restaurant’s online presence, including social media, website, email campaigns, and online advertising.
- Brand Management: Skill in maintaining and enhancing the restaurant’s brand identity across all marketing efforts.
- Creative Thinking: Capacity to generate innovative ideas for promotions, events, and content that resonate with the target audience.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey the restaurant’s message clearly and effectively.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze marketing metrics and draw actionable insights to optimize campaigns and strategies.
- Market Research: Skill in researching industry trends, understanding customer preferences, and monitoring competitor activities.
- Customer Engagement: Skill in building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and creating loyalty programs.
- Public Relations: Ability to manage media relations, write press releases, and collaborate with local businesses or organizations.
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to work alongside the management team, other departments, and external partners.
- Networking: Building relationships with local influencers, bloggers, and other relevant contacts to expand the restaurant’s reach.
- Maintains contact with all departments, including waiters and kitchen staff.
- Maintains contact with all other workers of the restaurant.
- Maintains contact with vendors and suppliers of raw materials.
- Maintains contact with customers.
RESPONSIBILITES FOR ASSETS
- Financial assets which include cash, accounts receivable, and investments.
- Promotional materials such as flyers, banners, and digital assets.
