The eight membership categories
One authoritative set of criteria, consistent with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana Act 1021.
Fellow
A Fellow of a recognised body, a Full Member who has served more than six years on the Governing Council, or a past President of the Institute.
Full Member
A Full Member of a recognised body, or a marketing degree with ten or more years of experience at Marketing Director level.
Associate Member
An Associate of a recognised body, a marketing degree with three or more years' experience, or the CIMG Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
Emerging Associate
A degree in a non-marketing subject with five or more years' experience in a recognised area of marketing.
Graduate Member
A business degree with marketing specialisation, or a Higher National Diploma in Marketing, with no practical experience required.
Student Member
Enrolled at a recognised marketing professional institution, or any tertiary institution, and pursuing a marketing qualification.
Honorary Member
More than fifteen years' experience in a senior marketing role, or a winner of the Marketing Man or Marketing Woman of the Year award.
Corporate Member
A marketing-oriented body corporate recognised by the Institute.

Chartered Marketer is held by Members who maintain Continuing Professional Development, renewed annually.
